Chris Lucius is a Mississippi native currently working in Brooklyn, NY. He received his MFA from The University of Tennessee in 2005.
While Chris works in many different mediums, he is best known for his graphite drawings of movie scenes. These drawings focus on moments when the process of film making and photographing cause tension in the image presented. It is this space where an image as we understand it starts to break down and become something new. Chris uses this space as an entrance into his drawings.
