Kathleen Collins

Kathleen Collins has worked in a number of photographic disciplines, and has participated in numerous juried, group and individual shows.  Her images can be found in several private collections and publications.

Kathleen's focus over the past number of years is what she refers to as “conservation photography”.  She feels it is important to document natural beauty in hopes that people will appreciate our planet and work to preserve, not destroy. Her professional background in environmental sciences enables her to focus on specific areas under threat.

The prologue in Kathleen's book “Bicoastal – Atlantic to Pacific and Beyond” published in 2010 reflects her most fervent wish:

‘The images in this book are published in the hope that they will inspire readers to be proper stewards of our remarkable planet.  These ecosystems are threatened by climate change and human encroachment, and cannot be restored once lost.’
