Sylvia D.Nagy is a New York based, Hungarian born artist.She have received her MFA in Silicate Industrial Technology and Ceramic Art from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, Budapest. Pursuing advance studies in New York at Parsons the New School for Design, where she taught Mold and Model making for Industrial Ceramic Design for nine years.
Her technical expertise attracted Robert Gober to collaboration to complete life-size ceramic chair to his installation.
She has sculptures and water fountain on public places in Szentendre, and Kecskemet, Hungary.
She has been awarded numerous time and received grants for Artis in Resident in Gifu, Japan, Jingdezhen, China, Romhild, Germany, Checky, Czech Republic and Kecskemet and Siklos, Hungary.
She has exhibited widely in Museums, in US. and internationally in place such as Japan, Korea, China, France, Denmark, Spain, Ireland, Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary.
She has works in several Museum Collection in Sevre Museum, Paris, France, Oribe World Design Center, Gifu,Japan, World Ceramic Exposition Foundation, Seoul, Korea, San Antonio Museum of Art, Texas, US, Wison Art Museum, Shanghai, China, State Collection, Ireland, Applied Art Museum, Budapest, Hungary, Teplice Regional Museum, Czech Republic and others.
Her works were represented by Loveed Fine Arts, New York.
She is an elected Member of (IAC) International Academy of Ceramic Art since 2009, Geneva, Switzerland.
